LocumJobsOnline is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified Orthopedic Surgery NP in Coos Bay, Oregon, 97420!

Pay Information

$110 to $120 per hour

About The Position

  • Position Overview
  • In collaboration with the attending physician, the PA / NP prepares and records patient history, develops and implements plans of care, participates in daily rounds, and documents pertinent symptoms, findings, diagnoses, and care plans. Utilizes electronic medical records (EMR) for order entry and documentation. Participates in multidisciplinary rounding, responds to coding / documentation queries, and engages in quality and safety initiatives as requested.
  • Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Order or perform diagnostic studies, including EMG, electrocardiogram, compartment pressure measurements, X-rays, CT, MRI, and bone scans.
  • Perform procedures such as digital blocks, regional anesthesia, minor outpatient surgical procedures (tendon repair, wound closure, debridement, incision & drainage, needle biopsy, percutaneous pinning, K-wire and hardware removal).
  • Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including joint / bursa aspirations, fracture / dislocation reductions, joint / tendon / trigger point / bursa injections, and brace, cast, and splint applications.
  • Assist in surgery as first assist, perform deep and superficial tissue closures, apply appliances, and perform other delegated tasks by the surgeon.
  • Conduct hospital rounds, write orders, and assist the Orthopedic surgeon.
  • Serve as primary orthopedic call for Bay Area Hospital patients in the ED and inpatient units, including weekday, weekend, holiday, and 24-hour coverage.
  • Evaluate and clarify clinical conditions, formulate and implement treatment plans, and dictate discharge summaries, histories, and physicals.
  • Skills and Abilities
  • Proficiency with electronic health records for documentation, assessment, and care management.
  • Ability to work independently and perform effectively in stressful or emergent situations.

  • NPDB Self-query – Required at submission

  • OT after 40 hours
  • Work Week : Sunday – Saturday
  • Lodging will be provided / coordinated by Bay Area Hospital
  • Credentialing timeframe : Minimum 60 days
