Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
We are seeking two Clinical Pharmacists to join a hospital team in State College. These roles are ideal for newer cliniciansPGY?1 residents or pharmacists with 3 years of clinical experiencewho want to grow their skills. The successful candidates will work across Emergency Department (ED), Critical Care Unit (CCU) , and the Antibiotic Stewardship Team , gaining broad clinical exposure. Out?of?state candidates are wele; candidates without a Pennsylvania license are encouraged to apply, as license?assistance is provided.
Key Responsibilities
Verify and review medication orders for appropriateness (dose, interactions, patient?specific considerations)
Engage in multidisciplinary rounds and clinical services within ED & CCU
Participate in acute care scenarios (e.g. stroke, cardiac arrest, sepsis, trauma)
Provide drug information and perform pharmacist?managed consults under applicable protocols
Contribute to antibiotic stewardship initiatives
Support clinical decision making and patient safety efforts
Schedule & Work Setting
Primarily day shifts, 8?hour schedule with occasional afternoons
Clinical role with patient?facing work across multiple units rather than a single floor
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
PharmD or BS in Pharmacy
PGY?1 residency or ~3 years of recent clinical hospital experience
Pennsylvania Pharmacist License or ability to obtain it (out?of?state candidates wele)
Strong clinical judgment, munication, and adaptability
fort working in fast?paced, high?acuity environments
