Need Agentic Engineer for the State of Maryland - MHBE

Role : Agentic Engineer

Location : Richmond, VA (Hybrid, within 2 hrs drive)

Responsibilities

Design and develop data pipelines for agentic systems, handling complex interactions between AI agents and data sources.

Train and fine-tune large language models (LLMs).

Build data architecture, including databases and data lakes.

Manage ELT processes for accurate data movement.

Implement data pipelines with feedback loops for human-in-the-loop systems.

Work with vector databases for embeddings.

Collaborate with data scientists and engineers on data preprocessing, model training, and AI integration.

Optimize data storage and retrieval performance.

Conduct statistical analysis to identify trends and patterns.

Qualifications

Strong data engineering fundamentals.

Experience with Apache Spark, Azure Databricks.

Ability to train LLMs with various datasets.

Knowledge of graph databases.

Experience with Azure services (Blob Storage, Data Lakes, Azure ML, etc.).

Proficiency in Python and AI / ML frameworks.

Experience with vector databases and embedding models.

Understanding of AI agent frameworks and cloud AI services.

Proficient in Git.

Bachelor's or Master's in CS, AI, Data Science, or related field.

Experience Requirements

Big data technologies : 5+ years

ETL / ELT pipelines : 5+ years

Spark, GraphDB, Azure Databricks : 5+ years

Training LLMs : 4+ years

Data Partitioning & Conflation : 3+ years

GIS spatial data : 3+ years
