Why this Role Exists

We're looking for a Controller / Finance Lead to own the execution side of finance at pmtbox. You'll partner directly with our Co-Founder & President (who brings a finance background) to translate strategic direction into precise, reliable financial operations.

This is a hybrid-role for someone who is comfortable in the weeds owning accounting accuracy, FP&A execution, sponsor bank reporting, and supporting investor and board reporting. You'll step into an environment that is lean by design : small team, high output, zero fluff. As we scale, you'll shape the finance function and eventually build out a team but early on, this is a hands-on role with real work.

What You'll Own

• Lead all accounting operations (supported by a bookkeeper)
• Own FP&A execution : budgets, forecasts, scenario modeling, variance analysis
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting for investors, board, and sponsors
• Manage bank reporting obligations for sponsor banks (accuracy + timeliness)
• Maintain financial controls, basic compliance, and audit readiness
• Build dashboards, models, and workflows that help the business move with clarity
• Partner with the President and Head of Operations across cross-functional initiatives (ops, compliance, risk, revenue operations)
• Evaluate and refine our finance systems and tooling (QuickBooks today; evolving over time)

pmtbox functions primarily in-office in Orem, UT. We value focus, clarity, and collaboration and our in-office rhythm supports that. That said, for exceptional engineers, we're open to evaluating remote applications.
