Position Summary
The Administrator of Adult Home Care is accountable for the overall management of adult-focused home health programs in Washington, DC. This includes ensuring regulatory compliance, supervising clinical and support staff, managing financial operations, and integrating technology and data-driven approaches into care delivery. The Administrator ensures adult patients receive safe, effective, and compassionate care while maintaining operational efficiency.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with DC DOH HHA regulations, Medicare / Medicaid CoPs, and payer requirements.
- Maintain licensure documentation and readiness for DOH and CMS surveys.
- Develop and annually review adult-care policies and procedures.
- Oversee infection control and workplace safety specific to adult populations.
Clinical Oversight
Supervise adult home care staff and ensure individualized care plans are followed.Monitor quality indicators (falls prevention, chronic disease management, medication adherence).Coordinate case conferences for adult patients with complex needs.Build relationships with hospitals, long-term care facilities, and community providers.Operational & Fiscal Management
Oversee staffing levels, scheduling, and caseload management for adult clients.Develop and monitor program budgets, billing, and utilization rates.Ensure cost-effective use of resources and vendor contracts.Analyze operational data to identify efficiency improvements.Technology & Data Integration
Ensure accurate clinical documentation in the EHR.Track adult program outcomes using analytics dashboards.Implement technology tools to streamline scheduling, intake, and reporting.Pilot AI-supported solutions for adult care optimization.Staff Development
Recruit, train, and evaluate nursing and support staff.Provide performance reviews and corrective action where necessary.Ensure all staff meet DC DOH continuing education and competency standards.Strategic Leadership
Identify opportunities to expand adult home health services in DC.Represent Premier Health Group at professional meetings, community outreach, and DOH forums.Contribute to long-range planning and program development.Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Public Health, or Healthcare Administration (Master's preferred).DC RN license required with minimum 3 years administrative experience in adult home health or related field.Demonstrated expertise in DC home health regulatory compliance.Proven skills in staff leadership, fiscal management, and data-driven decision-making.Proficiency with EHRs and healthcare technology.Performance Standards
