Corporate Accounting Manager - FinTech
Meta is seeking a professional with expertise in Financial Institutions to provide strategic guidance to join our Corporate Accounting team. This role is accountable for partnering with a large variety of cross-functional stakeholders to optimize the accounting processes, systems and controls with an eye to modernizing the foundational tools used by the finance and broader community to enable scalable solutions to support business growth and address risks. This role is required to support continual enhancement of our landscape, enhance our internal controls and mitigate financial reporting risks by closely collaborating with global finance teams, Engineering, Compliance and Product functions and other internal and external resources.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal team members and cross-functional teams globally, including legal, product, engineering, tax, and risk
- Facilitate communication and information flow between cross-functional business partners and the Finance organization
- Serve as strategic partners for the business to succeed in their mission. Support the community by contributing to the overall strategy and mission
- Develop product understanding and align on various team roadmaps & priorities to executive and deliver impact
- Manage your "book of business" including : Accounting conclusions, Systems & Processes, Risks & Controls and Ensure financial statements are complete and accurate
- Design and implement scalable accounting processes related to month-end and quarter-end financial close
- Ensure an accurate and timely, monthly, quarterly and year-end close
- Maintain a thorough end-to-end system understanding of the Ecosystem. Identify the emerging risks and drive holistic solutions
- Define reporting requirements for improved financial analytics, insights, key performance indicators (KPIs), etc
- Analyze problems, formulate solutions and alternatives for process and system solutions that achieve desired results timely and in a cost-effective manner
- Be a "change agent" and drive futuristic changes within the Payments community
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related fields10+ years of accounting experienceSkilled in comprehending end-to-end systems that impact accounting & financial reporting processesFinancial Institution experience around Finance processes and systemsSolid understanding of payments, third party risk solutions, Know Your Customer / Know Your Business experience etcUnderstanding of payment provider operations, fee structures including foreign currencyProficient in accounting standards both US GAAP and InternationalExperience in collaborating with cross-functional partners to support business needsExperience working independently as a significant individual contributor with minimal guidanceExperience executing in a high speed and demanding environment by demonstrating organizational, interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and prioritization skillsPreferred Qualifications
