Job Description

Responsibilities focus on the accuracy and integrity of a companys accounting information. They manage the accounting and related tasks, including the day-to-day completion of accurate record keeping, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and reconciliations. The ability to independently complete responsibilities in a timely manner with regular reporting on tasks status or findings is essential. This position reports to the Controller.Month-end closeReconcile account balances and bank statements monthly and quarterly to ensure accuracy.Document balance sheet reconciliations with a focus on comparing the financial statement records to external sources.Analyze and reconcile physical versus book inventory, resolve findings to the team, and post adjustments.Prepare financial statements, including the analysis of the financial records and data.ComplianceAnalyze and summarize data in support of compliance and tax reporting.Prepare and submit the California sales tax return which includes district schedule.Accounts receivable, revenue, and inventoryPost direct to consumer DTC daily sales totals on a regular basis and document discrepancies.Reconcile DTC cash receipts, post, and resolve discrepancies.Review, post, and report on revenue trends wholesale, DTC, or bulk.Manage the regular DTC and production inventory reconciliations.Accounts payable and expenseManage the positive pay process with the bank, including clearing exceptions.Back-up for accounts payable posting and vendor payments.Suggest ways to improve accounting processes and avoid errors.Assist with risk assessments and accounting policy assessments.Maintain the general ledger and ensuring its accuracy and effectivenessAssist with product pick-ups, answering phones calls, or at quarterly pick-up party, if needed.

Skills Required

5+ years accountanting experience. Advanced user of database and spreadsheet tools, such as Excel and Power BI.

Skills Preferred

Degree in accounting, finance, business, or related fields preferred.QuickBooks is highly beneficial
