Unit : MS / Tele Ortho Unit 7K (28 beds)

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Start Date : November 3, 2025

End Date : February 2, 2026

Duration : 13-week travel nursing contract

Shift : 12 Hour Nights

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1680-$1800

Certifications Required : BLS, ACLS

Interview : No interview required

Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license in Ohio or compact state (Ohio nursing license)

Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg Tele nursing experience

Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Dysrhythmia Exam required (study guide available)

Experience with surgical drains and post-op orthopedic patients preferred

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to work every other weekend and every other holiday as needed

Med / Surg Tele Nurse Responsibilities Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate treatment outcomes

Administer medications and manage drips (Heparin, PCA with morphine, Dilaudid, etc.)

Monitor and manage lines, drains, and devices (Hemovac, True-close, JP drains)

Provide care for orthopedic, trauma, and medical-surgical patients (backs, necks, knees, hips, UTI, appendicitis, bariatric surgery, etc.)

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members and advocate for patient needs

Utilize Alaris pumps and hercules beds for patient safety and comfort

Deliver patient and family education and support

Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)

Demonstrate adaptability in a fast-paced, high-acuity clinical environment
