The Governance & Control Specialist-Consumer Product Change Governance manages a portfolio of governance and control activities for moderately complex or high-risk business or functional area and implements policies / processes and / or initiatives to meet governance and control guidelines. Acts as a technical lead on key control initiatives.

This position is part of the Consumer Business Assurance team that supports Consumer Product Change Governance. The "Risk Marketplace" team provides dedicated risk management support to the designated lines of business on a strategic portfolio of projects. The accountabilities include : identify, categorize, assess, and manage various risks for the applicable programs including monitoring the development and execution of mitigation strategies, maintain engagement and positive relationships with 2nd line control partners, escalate items of concern as needed, fulfill the 1st Line Governance role in TD's Change Governance Standard and Framework, and maintain notes, task lists, and follow up items related to the fulfillment of Risk Marketplace objectives and ensure timely completion.

• Highly seasoned professional role requiring substantial business knowledge / expertise in a complex field and knowledge of broader related areas
• Integrates knowledge of the enterprise sub-function's or business line's overarching strategy in developing solutions across multiple functions or operations

• Interprets internal / external business challenges and the industry environment, recommends course of action and best practices to improve products, processes or services
• Acts as a technical expert / lead integrating cross-function understanding within their own field of specialty; may manage team(s) of related specialists
