Responsibilities

• Greet all customers on the sales floor with courtesy and a smile
• Grow personal sales by meeting goals and following Scheels professional salesmanship standards to provide an above and beyond customer experience
• Promote the Scheels Visa Rewards card and clearly explain all benefits
• Engage in conversation with customers and assist them in making buying decisions
• Demonstrate a passion for products and attend all product trainings and store meetings
• Maintain a professional appearance on the sales floor
• Assist in all other assigned duties
• Perform basic math (rates, ratios, percentages) and interpret simple data
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings
• Demonstrate strong communication, organization, attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Communicate clearly with all levels of the organization
• Help with freight / stocking when needed
• Demonstrate product usage and retrieve products from heights of greater than 6 ft

Compensation & Schedule

Compensation : $17.00-$19.00 hourly DOE. Compensation includes base hourly wage and estimated commission potential. Day-time or evening availability is required, but day-time is preferred (to include two weekends per month). Average 20 hours per week.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and / or 1-3 months of sales experience.

Physical & Lifting Requirements

Must be able to sit, stand, bend, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push / pull, lift, talk and hear with or without reasonable accommodation. Heavy work : exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
