Northwest Human Services is a non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and has been a leader in providing advocacy, quality healthcare and social services in Marion and Polk counties since 1970.

Shifts are determined by call volume trends and operational needs. This position supports a 24 / 7 Crisis & Information Hotline program that provides immediate crisis intervention, resources, and support to individuals in urgent need.
Shifts may include Day, Swing, Night, and Weekend / Holiday coverage. This is a 24 / 7 program and coverage across all hours may be required.
Responsibilities
- Provide 24-hour crisis intervention, suicide prevention, risk assessment, and brief supportive counseling over the phone to clients experiencing emotional distress, suicidal ideation, and / or seeking information on available mental health services.
- Answer all calls made to 988 in Marion and Polk counties and act as after-hours crisis support for multiple community partners.
- Provide crisis intervention, risk assessment screening, safety planning, follow-up support, and advocacy based on client needs.
- Coordinate and connect clients to critical mental health resources and services.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in social work or behavioral health sciences field, or a combination of at least three years of relevant work, education, training, or experience.Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of an integrated team.Demonstrated ability to use problem-solving and decision-making skills with individuals in acute crisis.Understanding of Trauma-Informed Care models.Demonstrated ability to practice self-reflection.Candidates must be eligible to obtain / maintain a QMHA-R level certification (Certifications - MHACBO).Job Requirements
Work some holidays and weekends.Remote work may be required, but this is not a fully remote position.Due to the nature of the position, there are no scheduled lunch breaks. As a 24 / 7 program, flexibility in managing breaks and meals during shifts is required. Employees are expected to remain on-call for client support throughout their shift.Benefits
