Forward Deployed Research Engineer

A company is looking for a Forward Deployed Research Engineer (FDRE - Clearance).

Key Responsibilities

Own the mission end-to-end, clarifying goals and shipping systems that impact real metrics

Partner with operators and executives to scope priorities and deliver production results

Collaborate with AI R&D to improve models and systems based on field signals

Required Qualifications and Education

US security clearance is required

Experience in software engineering, particularly with backend services and distributed systems

Familiarity with agentic systems and evaluation methodologies

Knowledge of cloud operations, including Kubernetes and Docker

Ability to adapt quickly and learn new domains effectively
