Job Description :
We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing Services (DON) to join our nursing management team. As a DON, you will be responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring that our residents receive the highest quality of care.
You will work closely with other members of the management team to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote a safe and healthy environment for our residents.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee the nursing staff and ensure that they are providing high-quality care to our residents
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote a safe and healthy environment for our residents
- Work closely with other members of the management team to ensure that the facility is in compliance with all state and federal regulations
- Manage the budget for the nursing department and ensure that resources are being used effectively
- Develop and implement training programs for the nursing staff to ensure that they are up-to-date on the latest techniques and best practices
- Participate in the hiring and evaluation of nursing staff
Requirements :
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Must possess and maintain a current Registered Nurse license from the State of New Hampshire and be in good standing with the NH Board of Nursing
- Must have at least two years’ recent experience in long-term care nursing and at least one year as a supervisor
- Knowledge of PPS / MDS, Medicare and Medicaid regulations and standards as well as geriatric nursing
