DIESEL TECHNICIA

The Diesel Technician is an autonomous position Working under general supervision, this role will perform preventive maintenance services and inspect, diagnose and repair vehicles and equipment.

We are an end user and reliable consumer of recovered materials, with multiple facilities in Southern California and joint ventures in the US and abroad.

Typical responsibilities of this position include :

  • Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services.
  • Performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
  • Ensuring work orders are completed accurately and efficiently
  • Performs all work within Standard Repair Times (SRTs).
  • Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns.
  • Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards, and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

To succeed in this role, you should have :

  • 2-5 years of diesel repair employment experience or combination of education & experience
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license and must have a clean driving record.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.

It'd be great if you also have :

  • Waste management / disposal or recycling industry experience highly preferred
  • Experience with vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations is a plus
