Position overview

The Cost Estimator II will collaborate closely with the sales team to comprehend customer needs, provide cost estimation, recommend appropriate solutions, and develop detailed technical proposals for customized machining solutions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and comprehensive written quotes for products
• Perform preliminary system sizing quotations of custom machinery including filter tank volumes, pump sizing, and temperature control units
• Contact suppliers to obtain key component pricing
• Accompany Sales Representatives to customer sites to gather detailed project information
• Utilize technical knowledge to clarify terminology and supply or obtain missing information from Sales Representatives
• Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to incorporate their inputs into quotations and coordinate pricing for proposals
• Assist in creating proposal drawings as needed
• Conduct special projects such as market studies, product analysis, marketing communications, and promotional activities
• Perform other duties as assigned
