IR / DX RN - Weekend Position

Schedule Details

Friday - Sunday

7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM

12-hour shifts

Floating assignment

Includes holidays, weekends, and charge responsibilities per unit needs

Position Overview

Fast-paced pre / post interventional radiology department in a level 1 Trauma center

Care for inpatient and outpatient populations across the lifespan

Work within a multidisciplinary team

Responsible for pre-procedural preparation of patients and post procedural recovery and overnight observation care

Experience with GI post procedural care is preferred but not required

Department Focus

High energy environment of Diagnostic Imaging

Specialize in providing care for patients undergoing CT scans, MRIs, Nuclear Medicine scans, X-ray and ultrasound

Good communication skills and ability to critically think are essential

Team oriented, enthusiastic, flexible and organized environment

Medical / Surgical and telemetry experience preferred

Primary Responsibilities

RN responsible for pre / post and 23hr care for IR patients

Care for patients boarding overnight pre or post procedure

BLS and ACLS required

Job Requirements

2 years' Registered IR Nursing experience (Two years' experience)

Telemetry Experience Required

New York RN license (ONLY)

BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)

ACLS (American Heart Association ONLY)

Required Skills

RN License (New York ONLY)

Two (2) years experience
