Responsibilities

• Define and update enterprise architecture to align with FDOTs long-term IT and business strategy.
• Lead the design and integration of enterprise-level applications and custom solutions, including major enhancements, interfaces, and new functionality.
• Provide expert recommendations on technology adoption, roadmaps, and emerging tools.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure seamless application integration.
• Establish and enforce architecture, coding, and integration standards for maximum efficiency and reuse.
• Oversee the design, testing, and deployment of complex, business-critical software solutions.
• Evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and platforms to keep FDOT ahead of the curve.
• Partner with leadership on major projects including toll collection systems, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), and other statewide initiatives.
• Develop documentation and governance for technical standards and system changes.
• Serve as a mentor, advisor, and change agent for technical teams across the department.
