Job description

Quality Training Specialist

We're looking for a Quality Training Specialist to support trade-related training and curriculum development for new and existing teams. This role also includes conducting quality audits and providing on-site support for active projects.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design and deliver hands-on, trade-related training in classroom settings (includes outlines, presentations, handouts, tests, and exercises).
  • Develop pre-employment job skill assessments (written and practical).
  • Conduct training needs assessments to understand job-specific tasks and workflows.
  • Facilitate training sessions using various formats including in-person, virtual classrooms, and webinars.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and provide feedback to improve future sessions.
  • Administer exams and write performance reports for trainees.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and safety in training environments.
  • Collaborate with the training team to update and improve training programs.
  • Stay current on industry tools, products, and instructional materials.
  • Ensure a safe, engaging, and productive learning environment.
  • Perform other related duties as needed.

Qualifications :

  • Education & Experience : Minimum of 3 years of experience in training or a related role. Preferred : 5 years of project management experience in telecommunications, electrical, or construction. High school diploma or equivalent required. BICSI Trainer Certification preferred. Familiarity with instructional design and adult learning theory is a plus.
  • Skills & Knowledge : Strong communication and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project). Ability to interpret blueprints and technical documents. Knowledge of job costing, planning, quality management, and safety training. Comfortable using basic hand tools and testing equipment. Understanding of construction processes and project management principles. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. Ability to travel as needed within the region.
  • Physical Requirements : Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and use hand / power tools for demonstration purposes. Must be able to work flexible hours to accommodate training needs.

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms. If eligible, the benefits available for this temporary role may include the following :
