Job Description
Senior Electrical Engineer Duties:
- Design electrical systems and components
- Plan, develop, and test components, equipment, and systems to ensure they’re safe, reliable, and comply with requirements
- Maintain equipment, systems, and components to ensure their performance and capacity
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies, systems, and applications
- Develop test plans and perform tests on electrical circuitry, equipment, and systems
- Perform maintenance on electrical circuitry, equipment, and systems
- Direct the installation and maintenance of electrical systems, components, and equipment
- Procure materials, supplies, equipment, and services
- Assemble and disassemble electrical systems, components, and equipment
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates
- Maintain and improve engineering skills and techniques
- Plan, schedule, and evaluate projects
- Direct research, development, and design of electrical
Senior Electrical Engineer Responsibilities:
- Meet with practitioners to share knowledge
- Develop electrical engineering solutions for building automation systems
- Partner with technicians to assist in the commissioning of building automation systems
- Write and review electrical drawings
- Conduct market research and product evaluations
- Develop and execute project budgets
- Prepare and maintain project schedules and cash flow projections
- Attend industry conferences
- Conduct engineering studies
- Perform mechanical and fire protection engineer tasks
- Conduct safety inspections
- Write reports and present findings
- Achieve business results and company goals
Requirements And Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field
- 5+ years in electrical design/construction related fields
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of construction processes
- Knowledge of electrical codes
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
