The Speech Therapist will evaluate and provide Speech Therapy services to clients in a home setting as prescribed by the attending physician. The Speech Therapist will treat patients with speech disorders, swallowing therapy, and hearing impairments that affect communication. In addition, they participate in helping clients that may be recovering from a stroke or other neurological disorders.

Responsibilities
Work cooperatively with physicians to develop care and treatment plans that is appropriate for client's home environment, especially as it relates to fall risk, interventions, and home safetyReport on client's response to treatment or changes in condition to the Director of Nursing and physicianPrepare clinical and progress summaries, as well as participate in discharge planning. A copy of the summaries will be submitted to the Director of NursingTreat clients, families, and staff with courtesy and respectDevelop a treatment plan for the client that all aspects of Speech TherapyEvaluate Residents conditions for swallowing or cognitive deficits.Requirements
Graduated with a master's or higher degree in Speech therapy from an accredited Speech Therapy programSLP license in the current stateAuto insuranceState licensure in state where care is being providedTwo (2) years of appropriate experience as a Speech Therapist.
