Responsibilities Work in a hospital echo lab covering a patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics Duties include performing 2D / 3D echocardiograms, bubble studies, color Doppler, imaging with contrast, pharmacologic and treadmill stress echos, and TEE Required calculations include Simpson's Rule, diastology, LV strain / volume, and proximal isovelocity surface area Equipment utilized includes Phillips and Siemens echocardiography systems Epic is used for charting and Pyxis for medication management Five 8-hour day shifts weekly from 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 00 PM Every other weekend work required Floating may occur within the facility and to an affiliated hospital if needed Rotating night and weekend call required First-time travelers are welcome Candidates must be away from all Piedmont facilities for 1 full year to return as a traveler Clinical screening will determine eligibility before manager review Travel pairs cannot be assigned the same shift on the same unit Compliance and required documentation must be completed promptly to ensure an on-time start Scrub attire is black top and pants A maximum of 7 days of requested time off is permitted; no RTO during first week Holiday coverage is mandatory based on the number of major holidays falling during assignment Modules and orientation hours are included in onboarding process Local candidates are accepted at the same rate Requirements Minimum of 1 year recent experience as an Echo Technologist or Cardiac Sonographer Current BLS certification Credentialing through ARDMS, CCI, or RCS required Proficiency with echocardiography equipment including Phillips and Siemens Epic charting experience preferred Experience performing advanced echo studies and calculations License required if applicable Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-628419.
