We are seeking an exceptional Engineering Manager to lead our Data Platform team and drive the evolution of our enterprise-grade data infrastructure. You'll manage a dedicated scrum team responsible for our Data API - the critical gateway that brokers external access to our multi-tenant MongoDB platform serving restaurant chains globally. This role requires a unique blend of deep technical expertise in high-performance data systems and proven leadership of remote engineering teams.

At Qu you will :

• Provide Data Platform Leadership - Lead the Data scrum team responsible for our external-facing Data API that serves as the primary interface between clients and our multi-tenant MongoDB infrastructure - Drive architecture decisions for scalable data ingestion pipelines, real-time processing, and analytical APIs serving millions of restaurant transactions - Own the technical roadmap for data platform evolution, ensuring performance at scale across diverse client types (web applications, on-premise systems, POS / Kiosk devices)
• Develop High-Performance Systems - Oversee development of APIs and data services powering real-time operations and historical reporting across Qu's restaurant intelligence platform - Ensure sub-second response times and 99.9%+ availability for mission-critical restaurant operations data - Guide technical architecture for complex multi-tenant data scenarios with strict isolation and performance requirements
• Drive Remote Team Excellence - Manage distributed engineering teams across multiple time zones with precision and accountability - Implement rigorous development practices, code review processes, and performance metrics for remote collaboration - Drive technical mentorship and career development for data engineers specializing in MongoDB, AWS, and high-throughput API development
• Oversee Technical Integration & Governance - Collaborate across 7 scrum teams to ensure seamless data flow between Core Services, Cloud Applications, and On-Premise systems - Define and enforce API governance standards for external data access, ensuring security, performance, and usability - Partner with DevOps teams to implement comprehensive monitoring using OpenTelemetry, ElasticAMP, and CloudWatch
