job summary : Responsibilities :

Responsibilities :

Observes mechanical devices in operation and diagnoses malfunctions.

  • Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
  • Makes approved modifications to machinery and equipment to meet production needs.
  • Repairs or replaces defective parts. Lubricates and cleans parts.
  • Starts devices to test their performance.
  • Sets up and operates drill press, grinder, welder, and other metalworking tools to

fabricate and repair parts.

Effectively install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, pneumatic, electrical,

PLC, and hydraulic issues on production equipment, conveyor systems, and facilities

related equipment within the plant.

Keeps accurate maintenance and preventative maintenance records and ensures that all

revisions to equipment and tools are properly recorded.

Determines equipment / parts needed for repair. Works with Supply Chain department to

purchase.

  • Utilizes the CMMS module in the ERP system.
  • Keeps the shop and work area neat and orderly.
  • Ability to solve a variety of practical problems by using experience and logic.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or

schedule form.
