What we need.
Reporting to the Head of Retail, the Region Sales Manager (RSM) - Grocery will lead the development of darings retail business for an assigned territory.
The primary focus will be expanding distribution of daring products and building relationships to become a trusted partner.
The RSM will be responsible for meeting sales goals and KPIs, building customer relationships, developing new business, and leading the sales teams assigned to their region.
What youll do.
- Actively identify and pursue distribution opportunities with grocery chains in assigned territory
- Select and manage broker partners where appropriate to ensure all opportunities are pursued
- Execute effective new product presentations to key category decision makers to drive new business development
- Execute sales programs and new product introductions for broker and distributor reps to develop new business with strategic operators
- Effectively manage promotional spend budget aligned with company strategies and ROI targets
- Develop strategic plans and execute against key distributor events (food shows, sales meetings, etc.) that ensure new business and category development
- Execute quarterly business reviews and planning sessions with key broker leadership, ensuring quarterly and annual priorities and sales goals are achieved
- Provide coaching and product training to sales and broker reps and ensure they are provided with access to sales tools and POS
- Execute effective monthly business reviews with utilizing reporting that measure KPIs and ensure that the opportunity pipeline is healthy and that all sales goals are being met
- Utilize CRM tool to create a customer call plan, strong opportunity pipeline, lead follow-up, and track sales activities
- Effective utilization of sales tracking and business planning tools to input contracts, trade programs and determine opportunities for improved sales and profit growth
- Other duties as assigned
Who you are.
- 5+ years of experience in CPG sales within territory
- Experience managing brokers and / or direct sales team
- Self starter with a bias for action
- Excellent written and oral communication and skills
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn data into a persuasive story
- Experience using trade management and forecasting software a plus
- A strong track record of growing volume and establishing partnerships
- A growth mindset; you thrive in a fast paced, goal oriented, and ever changing environment
