Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A K-12 educational institution in Madison, AL is seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support students with hearing impairments throughout the current school year (CSY). This contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with educators and students to facilitate effective munication and ensure inclusive learning environments.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide accurate and timely sign language interpretation during classroom instruction, school activities, and meetings.
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to enhance munication access for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
• Assist in creating an accessible educational setting, promoting student engagement and participation.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
• Adapt interpretation techniques to meet individual student needs.
