We are seeking a Production Automation Engineer – Electrical. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, programming, simulating, and testing automated machinery and processes in order to complete exact tasks.
Responsibilities
- Work with ME teams to improve production process by identifying automation based solutions to help improve efficiency, reduce operating costs, and improve safety
- Monitoring and analyzing data from automation systems to identify areas for improvement and optimize performance
- Development of all the required software and hardware to validate the requirements of the unit under test and to improve throughput and yield. The software includes LabVIEW, SQL, Python, other programming language, deep learning based software and PLC development
- Interface with production line to understand the major failure modes of products
- Design experiments / test to isolate failures and to determine root causes on products
- Work with management and product design teams to formulate manufacturing processes for products
- 5 ~ 10% international travel is expected for this position
- Other duties as needed or required
Qualifications
Required : Bachelor's degree in an Engineering disciplinePreferred : Master\'s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering2 years plus in programming and engineering workWorking experience with LabVIEW; knowledge of common programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or VBAExperience with deep learning technologyExperience with programmable logic controls, mechanical design, or circuit design is beneficialStrong teamwork and communication skills to manage multiple concurrent projectsLocation
This position will be on-site based in Sugar Land, Texas.
