Production Supervisor

As a Production Supervisor, you will oversee the mold and bond area, managing machinery that includes mainly presses. You will be responsible for supervising 25-40 employees, ensuring effective production processes and improvements.

Responsibilities :

Supervise the mold and bond area, focusing on machinery such as presses.

Oversee a team of 25-40 employees, ensuring efficient workflow.

Write daily end-of-shift reports to capture production details.

Engage hands-on to assist team members in learning to deflash, inspect, and operate machines.

Act as the first line of maintenance, addressing machine issues before involving the maintenance team.

Implement process improvements, including 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.

Track production metrics and help implement strategies to reduce downtime and scrap.

Assist in training and developing employees, enhancing their skills and capabilities.

Manage timecards and track employee attendance.

Essential Skills :

At least 2 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and email communication.

Experience in process improvement and implementation, or 5S experience.

Capability to lead and supervise over 20 employees.

Additional Skills & Qualifications :

Experience in automotive manufacturing is a plus.

Familiarity with molding processes, including compression, blow, or injection molding.

Work Environment :

The facility is a union environment with a salaried, non-union position. Shift openings include Day, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. Day shift hours are from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m., Night shift from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. The company manufactures automotive parts for major brands and is committed to employee growth and development. The facility is set to move to a three-shift schedule by early 2026.

Job Type & Location :

This is a Permanent position based out of North Baltimore, OH. Pay range for this position is $63000.00 - $80000.00 / yr.
