Material Area Supervisor

Job Duties

Lead delivery, safety, cost, quality, and morale for hourly production teams

Develop team leaders and transform material delivery processes using WCM principles

Maintain accurate inventory and ensure system record integrity

Coordinate daily team activities to meet key business metrics

Supervise multiple teams in a fast-paced, unionized manufacturing environment

Build positive working relationships with both leadership and union employees

Develop high-performing teams of Team Leaders and Team Members

Model and reinforce core leadership principles

Skills & Experience

Required

High School Diploma or GED

Proficiency with Excel and Outlook

Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and systems

Strong math and analytical problem-solving skills

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and prioritization skills

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Desired

Experience in a unionized automotive or manufacturing environment

Familiarity with World Class Manufacturing (WCM) methodologies

Previous leadership experience in production, warehouse, or materials management

Working knowledge of inventory control systems or ERP platforms

You should be proficient in :

• Measuring and Quoting
• Warehouse Experience
• Material Handler Experience
• High School / GED
