Staff Accountant

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for preparing a variety of journal entries, bank reconciliations as well as reconciling high risk balance sheets and operating statement accounts. This position supports the overall operations of the Accounting Department.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION / COMPETENCIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Works closely with the Accounting Supervisor during the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
• Prepares and records various journal entries to the general ledger.
• Records cash receipts and prepares bank reconciliations.
• Records, organizes and ties out intercompany activity with affiliates.
• Performs balance sheet account reconciliations and analysis.
• Prepares assigned items for external audit.
• Assists with the accounts payable processes.
• Participates in the the development and completion of special projects.
• Performs other position related duties as assigned
