Medical Collections Specialist

Now hiring for a Medical Collections Specialist! The collections specialist is responsible for making outbound and taking inbound calls from patients regarding their outstanding medical bills. Explain to patients their insurance coverage, deductible, copay, etc. De-escalate patient and address questions and concerns. Facilitate payment plans or obtain payment in full. Maintain patient records and documentation. Main position details include :

Start : Once cleared onboarding process

Pay : $20.32 / hr (able to earn commission after training program). Commission based on amount collected in individual contributor + a team total goal.

Training : 60 days in length.

Schedule : Monday - Friday 8 : 00am - 4 : 30pm or 8 : 30am - 5 : 00pm. (Will need to work until 6 : 00pm on Mondays or Tuesdays)

Location : Brooklyn Center (training only). Fully remote after completing training program.

Duration : 6 month contract-to-hire.

Qualifications :

• 1+ year of collections experience.
• 1-2+ years of employment history tenure per role the past 5 years.

Pay and Benefits : The pay range for this position is $20.32 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
