Job Description

Commissioning and startup of pilot test units and supervision of the operation of a pilot scale Continuous Ion Exchange pilot.

The R&D Engineer works with a Process Designer to define test conditions and confirm both the equipment design parameters and process operating conditions.

The Research Engineer will review and interpret data from pilot operation and will interface with internal stakeholders regarding test performance and conclusions.

Startup or operation of pilot systems at customer locations.

  • Evaluate and confirm adequation of ancillary equipment specifications and pilot needs.
  • Confirm with the LA office the pilot schedule, parameters and targets
  • Install and connect ancillary equipment to the main pilot unit. Technical support needed to be provided.
  • Dry test, wet test and commissioning of the pilot
  • Run the pilot and establish sampling plan
  • Collaborate to simulation effort with the R&D team in Paris (DEST)

Qualifications

Educational background : Master's Degree (Diplome d'Ingenieur) or PhD (Doctorat) in Chemical Engineering - Process Engineering (Genie Chimique / Genie des Procedes)

Previous experience : Previous R&D experience would be appreciated

Skills : Autonomous, communication skills, interest in challenges, interest in complex process and problem solving

Languages : French and English mandatory
