Accountant Position

We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join a non-profit organization in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a meaningful cause. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial reporting, general ledger management, investment analysis, and payroll support when necessary.

Responsibilities :

• Prepare and manage financial reports to ensure accurate and timely documentation of financial activities.
• Oversee general ledger operations, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Conduct investment financial analysis to guide decision-making and optimize organizational resources.
• Provide detailed financial analysis to support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Assist with payroll management as needed, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain accurate accounting records and resolve discrepancies.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Support audit preparation and compliance with relevant financial regulations.
