Job Description
Manage the Chassis process of shipment movement (Availability, control movement data, usage report, M&R Service, pre-planning for Shipment)
Oversee and develop a high performing team to effectively meet the customers' needs by motivating, organizing, and encouraging teamwork and meeting or exceeding deadlines.
Manage relationships with selected Chassis Suppliers and make urgent communication in case of emergency
Requires daily coordination with trucking companies, depots, and internal drayage teams to ensure optimal equipment availability and usage.
Analyze and Report monthly on KPI's for chassis utilizations
Establish delivery status report and share with customers
Create simple tools to manage regular shipment monitoring status and report to upper management, customers, and HQ
Analyze data to find out the pending issues in terms of seamless movement and share with related parties to resolve the issues.
Checking billing information from suppliers
Document corrective actions and improvement plans properly, and verify plan's effectiveness.
Perform ad-hoc reporting, as required.
Perform other job related duties as required
Monitor flow and usage of chassis over the US and secure required equipment for operation with truckers
Inventory quantities of chassis required for operation with truckers on daily basis and perform equipment control over the US
Audit / review chassis invoices and enter in SAP / excel
Review existing chassis agreements to identify opportunities for optimization, cost savings, and improved service levels.
Draft, revise, and issue amendments and addendums to existing contracts as needed
Manage and maintain the contract management database, ensuring all documents are current and accessible.
Qualifications
High School GED required
Experience in Logistics Equipment Management or Chassis Management required
Strong understanding of international transportation especially ocean shipping and freight forwarding industry
Experience in establishing a transport plan that can optimize loading rate, transport time and logistics cost
Experience in leading a group of team members with effective leadership
Ability to manage within goals by considering in time, budget and business objectives
Use creative thinking and strategic problem-solving techniques
Effective oral and written communication
A good attitude and ability to work in a team setting
Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite and other applications
Prioritization skill, able to shift focus to urgent issues while not falling behind on other duties
5+ years of relevant experience in Logistics Drayage Management preferred
Ability to travel up to 20% in domestic
