Job description

Accounts Payable Coordinator

Join our team as an Accounts Payable Coordinator and play a vital role in ensuring our vendors are paid accurately and on time. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic team of professionals, including our AP Manager, Accounting Managers, and departments like Shipping and Receiving.

In this role, you will engage with various department heads and Buyers to streamline operations, resolve discrepancies, and reconcile vendor statements. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about building strong relationships, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Essential Functions / Responsibilities - AP Coordinator

  • Performs a three-way match of purchase order, packing slip, and vendor invoice.
  • Processes all invoices for the selected programs on a timely basis, including following up with department heads for authorization, account numbers, and other necessary details.
  • Wire, Utility, and Cash In Advance (CIA) payment clearing for the assigned company code.
  • Participates in the monthly closing process by ensuring that all invoices are posted in accordance with the monthly closing calendar.
  • Performs reconciliation of vendor statements based on a predefined frequency. Interacts with external & internal parties to resolve invoices and payment issues.
  • Replies to internal and external email inquiries via the shared Accounts Payable mailbox.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Special Skills, Experience, or Qualifications - AP Coordinator

  • Solid understanding of all accounting functions, with a focus on the accounts payable process.
  • Familiarity with the purchasing cycle.
  • Good mathematical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate level Excel skills.
  • Experience with SAP is highly preferred.
