Overview
Our client is seeking a Project Engineer to support ongoing MILCON work at Fort Bliss. This onsite role includes per diem and focuses on coordinating between design teams, government reviewers, and field operations while ensuring compliance with federal construction standards.
Day-to-Day
- Manage RFIs, submittals, and document workflows
- Maintain RFI / submittal logs and drawing registers
- Support design coordination, constructability reviews, and IFC updates
- Assist with CQC documentation and inspection phase tracking
- Verify field work aligns with drawings and approved submittals
- Track design deliverables, government responses, and schedule impacts
- Support procurement, long-lead items, and GFI / GFP tracking
- Participate in site walks, coordination meetings, and closeout activities
Required Skills
Bachelor's in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field5+ years of construction or design-build experienceUSACE, NAVFAC, DoD, or MILCON project experienceStrong understanding of construction drawings & technical coordinationExperience with RFIs, submittals, and document controlFamiliarity with UFC standards and CQC processesProficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, SharePoint, etc.Bonus Skills
Design-Build delivery experienceSupporting CQC or quality workflowsExposure to advanced / innovative construction technologiesSmartsheet or other tracking tools
