About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced Database Administrator (Advanced) to support enterprise Oracle environments across development, testing, production, and cloud platforms.
The consultant will play a key role in database monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) administration .
This role requires hands-on experience with Oracle 19c, Linux administration, schema design, Oracle EM, and cloud-based database operations . Key Responsibilities Administer, monitor, and maintain Oracle 19c database instances across dev, test, and production.
Manage and troubleshoot Oracle Enterprise Manager (EM) .
Review and optimize database schemas, structures, and performance metrics .
Maintain Linux (Red Hat / Oracle) servers and automation (CLI, crontab).
Support OCI environments , ensuring database availability, reliability, and scalability.
Provide excellent customer service while collaborating with technical teams and stakeholders.
Document processes, escalate risks, and ensure compliance with IT standards. Required Qualifications 5+ years administering Oracle 19c databases. 5+ years troubleshooting Oracle DB admin / connectivity issues. 5+ years monitoring Oracle DB performance metrics. 3+ years with Oracle EM . 3+ years with Red Hat or Oracle Linux (CLI + crontab) . 3+ years reviewing physical schema models. 1+ years with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) .
Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience). Preferred Skills Experience with Unix commands and Oracle RDBMS tools .
Strong knowledge of data analysis, reporting, and capacity planning .
Familiarity with government or large enterprise IT standards .
