Food Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic

Role Overview : We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for our first shift to join our team in the food manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have at least five (5) years of experience in food production maintenance, a strong understanding of Cal OSHA regulations, and a keen attention to detail. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities :

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on food production equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and minimal downtime.
• Follow preventative maintenance schedule.
• Troubleshoot and repair boilers, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and industrial steam cooking equipment.
• Ensure compliance with Cal OSHA safety regulations, food safety guidelines, and company policies.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system issues.
• Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory.
• Oversee contractors on site when professional repairs are needed.
• Collaborate with production teams to optimize equipment performance and efficiency.
• Conduct equipment inspections, document findings, and recommend improvements.
• Assist in equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) principles.
• Test functionality of facility safety systems.
• Fabricate new equipment as necessary
