What you will do :
Read work orders or follows verbal instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be movedMove items into and out of storage, kitting area and / or production areasFollow all safety rules and instructions, maintain 5S standards of work area and performs other functions on and off production line as requiredMaintain necessary information and records for inventory locations on the computer and ensures appropriate paper flow with the materials / goods throughout the processPerform cycle counting functions. Select containers for parts or products. Pack and seal parts, coils or sections into or onto fabricated containers or skidsLoad materials into / onto trucks and installs strapping, bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transitComplete shipping or receiving reports and recordsOperate picking systems, barcode scanners, PIT, power material-handling equipment and trucks to move material and finished productsTake part in the training process for all new team members. Provide input regarding the performance of new team membersParticipate with other team members on safety, process and quality improvement teamsWork with team members, supervisors and support areas to coordinate workflow to meet production requirementsPerform other duties as assignedTrain new members on the various machines, procedures, safe work practices and any pertinent items regarding safety, quality and productionResponsible for maintaining the 5s program to ensure a clean work areaFollow and understand HOMESafe, Personal Choice and company safety manual requirements. Identify and rework defective work pieces to comply with quality standardsAbility to use hand toolsOperate PIT (Powered Industrial Trucks), obtain PIT LicenseAll other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications :
