Job Overview
The Direct Sales Agent Specialist is responsible for profitable growth and attainment of business goals by driving new business sales, understanding customers' needs, and building rapport—building and retaining a book of business in the market / retail location.
Key responsibilities include attracting and generating new customers and cross-selling existing customers across Auto, Life, Auto Club, and Roadside Assistance products. This role sells to walk-in customers, markets products via marketing calls and in-person visits to build community relationships, and assists customers in office.
Responsibilities
- Drive profitable growth and attainment of business goals by generating new business sales.
- Build rapport and trust with customers by understanding their needs.
- Build and retain a book of business within the market / retail location.
- Attract and generate new customers and cross-sell existing customers across product offerings.
- Sell to walk-in customers, perform marketing calls, and conduct in-person visits to promote growth.
- Assist customers in the office and maintain accurate records.
Minimum Qualifications
0 – 2 years of experience.P&C licensing (preferred), or must attain required licensure within 90 days of joining the company.Preferred Skills and Competencies
Successfully close sales of insurance and ancillary products.Meet and exceed sales goals through new product sales and cross-sell / retention of customers.Leverage community contacts to build a sales pipeline and maintain an active physical presence.Initiate outbound calling to an established target customer base for product offerings.Monitor key competitors and suggest initiatives to improve market position.Work with Direct Sales Leadership to plan, implement, and manage marketing and sales processes.Deliver optimal results within metrics : quality, quantity, timeliness, productivity, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.Understand, promote, and remain current on company underwriting guidelines, policies, and procedures.Receive customer payments, issue receipts, and verify cash drawer reports.Compensation
Base compensation varies with licensing status :
Unlicensed Candidates : $17.50 per hour.Licensed Candidates (Auto or P&C license with at least 6 months of P&C sales experience) : $20.00 per hour.In addition to base hourly rate, total compensation may include incentive pay such as commissions and bonuses based on individual and team performance.
