Maintenance Manager
This position is responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of all City-County properties, including the City County Building, Community Justice Campus, and all other owned and leased buildings. While the Indianapolis Marion County Building Authority manages the individual contractors and maintenance technicians, this position will monitor and review performance of the Building Authority and department level maintenance on non-Building Authority structures. Position must be able to assess, plan and budget for capital maintenance needs and manage the necessary contracts to execute the plan. The manager will also be responsible for non-durable capital assets. Must be strategic thinker who can work across multiple agencies to execute job functions. Independent judgment is exercised in researching and offering business opinions in handling building operation duties and transactions. The incumbent may make administrative decisions dealing with financial operations of the City and County and is expected to coordinate with other agencies and departments. Position reports to Administrator, Real Estate.

Minimum Job Requirements and Qualifications : Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Real Estate Management, or other related field. Advanced degree, real estate license, or PMP certification preferred. Five (5) or more years of experience in commercial building maintenance, contract management, project management or related field. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to partner with key stakeholders. Independent judgment, excellent oral and written communications, Proficient in Microsoft Office suite. Valid driver's license.
Preferred Job Requirements and Qualifications : Master's degree in Public Policy, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field. Five (5) or more years' experience as a finance professional, one of with was supervisory. Significant professional experience in government employment with a preference toward local government. Familiarity with database tools such as PeopleSoft Finance or other ERP accounting systems.
