Job Title : MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN I

Rate of Pay : $24.00 / Hour

Shift : Variable shifts to cover from 6am 11pm 7 days a week.

5-6 shifts / week including weekends holidays and special events

FLSA Status : Non-Exempt / Hourly

SUMMARY

The general purpose of this job is to provide skilled maintenance services to lodging and resort facilities and to assist all guests and employees with any maintenance concerns within the guidelines of the Resorts environmental commitment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Keep logs of tasks performed and communicate effectively with all department staff or other vested parties.
• Exhibit excellent time management skills to efficiently and accurately prioritize and complete tasks.
• Participate in daily weekly and monthly building tours and inspections.
• Respond to guest and staff requests in a timely courteous and professional manner.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and repairs as needed.
• Comply with Safety Standards for the project and use of tools and machinery.
• Comply with no-idling policy.
• Assist other Maintenance Technicians and / or Maintenance Manager on building / repair projects.
• Maintain and repair resorts plumbing and electrical systems including replacing worn or defective parts.
• Paint interior and exterior walls trim railings and signs.
• Maintain and repair wood parts of buildings.
• Repair worn or damaged parts such as hoses wiring and belts in machines and equipment.
• Assist with remodeling projects in lodging units and resort building projects.
• Keep work and guest areas safe and presentable while performing repairs and installations.
• Support the recycling program.
• Assist other departments moving furniture making improvements unloading and storing supplies as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and / or humid conditions toxic or caustic chemicals extreme cold extreme heat and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.
