About the Role :

You'll process and prepare mortgage documents for closings and make sure everything is delivered smoothly to the right people. To be successful in this position, you'll need a high school diploma, a good understanding of credit union policies and procedures, and strong communication skills that help you connect with others. We're also looking for someone who's highly organized, detail-oriented, and focused on providing excellent service to our members. If you have experience with the Encompass Loan Origination System, that's a great bonus!

Key Responsibilities :

Interview mortgage applicants and may quote rates and payments.

Prepare necessary documents for mortgage approvals including credit bureaus, debt ratio, verifications, etc.

Prepare documents for mortgage closings.

Enter all mortgage loan data and home improvement loans into the Loan Producer and Episys systems as applicable.

Disburse approved mortgage loans.

Order Title Insurance, appraisals, surveys, flood determination, and inspections.

Ensure collection comments are up to date in Episys.

Set up, disburse, and close escrow accounts and process escrow analysis on an annual basis.

Take mortgage loan applications, prepare them for approval, and disburse loans.

Must satisfy all requirements of the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and complete the registration process as needed.

What you Bring to the Team :

High school diploma required; additional education in finance or lending a plus.

Previous experience in mortgage processing; Encompass system knowledge preferred.

Knowledge of credit union operations, lending documents, products and services.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a member-first mindset.

Comfortable working with Microsoft Office and lending software.

Ability to work at a rapid pace.

Interpersonal skills required to handle all types of members and working conditions.

Must meet Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) requirements.
