Accountant (WA - Bellevue)

Accountant

The Accountant will be responsible for supporting the accounting operations of a rapidly growing restaurant chain with multiple locations across California, Texas, Oregon, and Seattle. This position will involve a variety of accounting tasks, including data entry, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting : Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• General Ledger Maintenance : Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the general ledger. Perform account reconciliations and ensure proper classification of transactions.
• Expense Management : Monitor and analyze expenses to identify trends and areas for cost savings. Work closely with management to develop and implement expense control measures.
• Bank Reconciliation : Prepare monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of cash balances and transactions.
• Financial Analysis : Assist in financial analysis and reporting, including variance analysis and budget vs. actual comparisons. Provide insights to management to support decision-making.
• Tax Compliance : Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Audit Support : Support external auditors during the annual audit process. Provide documentation and explanations as needed.
