Job descriptionMaintain accurate and up-to-date records in the general ledger. Perform account reconciliations and ensure proper classification of transactions. Monitor and analyze expenses to identify trends and areas for cost savings. Work closely with management to develop and implement expense control measures. Prepare monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of cash balances and transactions. Assist in financial analysis and reporting, including variance analysis and budget vs. actual comparisons. Provide insights to management to support decision-making. Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. Support external auditors during the annual audit process. Provide documentation and explanations as needed. BA degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field. Proficiency in accounting software (e,g R365). Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience in the restaurant industry a plus Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards. The Accountant will be responsible for supporting the accounting operations of a rapidly growing restaurant chain with multiple locations across California, Texas, Oregon, and Seattle.
This position will involve a variety of accounting tasks, including data entry, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities :
- Financial Reporting : Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
