Seeking a bilingual, experienced personal injury case manager to focus on pre-litigation work.Benefits : Low-deductible open-network PPO health insurance (employer contributed)Extremely discounted dependent plan premium for your childrenDentalVisionLife Insurance (term, $100k)14 PTO days per year, accruing every paycheck (unified vacation / sick time), grows by 1 extra day per year of employmentAdditionally, an average of 16 fixed, paid holidays per year (includes MLK, Memorial, Juneteenth, Independence Day and, if needed, a day to bridge the weekend, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and winter break that includes Christmas and New Year's, not including the weekends surrounding it)= total of 30 days off in the first yearResponsibilities : Managing the treatment phase of a cases lifecycle.Daily interactions with clients, adjusters, and medical providers to gather information.Serving as the clients treatment liaison through pre-litigation.Helping clients understand the claims process and updating them throughout.Setting up claims with insurance companies, sending out LOPs / LORs.Document all incoming and outgoing calls in case management software notes.Reporting to and updating attorneys on the status and specifics of each case.Request and review medical records, with affidavit / declaration and ensuring records are complete and in proper form.Field all incoming calls.Coordinating the output of prelitigation and litigation demands with the help of paralegals and attorneys as needed.Verifying medical costs at the settlement phase and obtaining reductions.Qualifications : Required to have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a pre-litigation case manager or legal assistant for a plaintiffs personal injury law firm to be considered.Required to be bilingual in English and Spanish, spoken and written, and able to fluently interact with Spanish-speaking clients.Bachelors degree preferred.Comfortable with the process of obtaining and organizing medical bills and records from providers and clearinghouses.Ability to prioritize and multitask, sometimes changing tasks as urgent obligations arise.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Deadline- and detail-oriented.Competency in a paperless office (digitization, shared cloud, case management software, collaborative editing and sharing of revisions)Capable of using software like PDF Expert to edit, convert, redact, sign, form fill, extract, OCR documents.Mycase case management software experience is a plus.Ability to quickly adapt to new technological tools and processes as they are adopted.Professional appearance and behavior expected.Ability to maintain a high degree of discretion in dealing with confidential information.
