Asphalt Laborer / Operator
2401 S. Broadway Ave. Moore, OK 73160, USA - *Full-Time
Silver Star Construction, a local road construction company is seeking a Asphalt Laborer to perform a wide range of duties depending that may change depending on the type of project they are working on and the team members they are working with.
Responsibilities :
- Rake / Shovel asphalt in construction area
- Assist in patching asphalt with hot / cold mix
- Maintain a clean job site : pick up tools and equipment and secure jobs site each day
- Material Handling and storage
- May operate a variety of hand and power tools
- May assist with craft workers
Asphalt Laborer / Operator Skills :
Some skills necessary to perform all the different tasks associated with this job :
Equipment such as bobcat, front end loader, paver, tractor and screed
Detailed oriented and team spirit
Measure work area accurately
Qualifications :
- Physical ability to stand long periods of time
- Physical ability to bend and crouch
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold
- Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas
- Must be adaptable to changes in work environment; frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
- Attendance / Punctuality Is consistently at work and on time : Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent
- Must be able to work nights and weekends when necessary
- Must be able to work overtime when required
