We're looking for a Payment Solutions Architect with deep payments systems experience to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about designing scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions that enable seamless financial transactions for millions of users.
This role is hybrid, working a minimum of 2-3 days per week from your home office location in Jersey City, NJ or Las Vegas, NV.
What You'll Do
- Lead the design and evolution of our payments architecture at Caesars Digital, including cashier and frontend architecture, payment services and integrations, payment vendors, routing & orchestration, fraud prevention tools, data integration, and all aspects of digital payments, risk, and fraud.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, compliance, and payments teams to ensure infrastructure meets business and regulatory needs.
- Lead architectural discussions, provide guidance, and ensure best practices in scalability, security, reliability, and performance.
- Identify opportunities for system improvements, reduce technical debt, and modernize legacy components.
- Create and maintain architectural documentation, including system designs and data flow models.
- Guide implementation, resolve technical challenges, and communicate concepts effectively to stakeholders.
- Assess risks and dependencies, propose mitigation strategies, and evaluate new technologies to enhance systems.
- Maintain architectural standards across the organization and monitor the growth of services.
What You'll Need
5+ years in software architecture with a focus on payments systems, ideally with exposure to fintech concepts like wallets and cryptocurrencies.6-9 years of software engineering experience in high-volume, regulated environments.Deep understanding of payment standards, protocols, PCI compliance, tokenization, and secure transaction flows.Knowledge of risk management, fraud prevention, and reporting systems.Experience with modern API / service architectures, cloud-native systems (preferably AWS), Kubernetes, microservices, and event-driven architectures (Kafka or similar).Expertise in designing APIs (REST and GraphQL), data modeling, and working with relational and NoSQL databases.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence teams and stakeholders.Strong problem-solving skills and interest in AI technologies.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $212,750 USD, depending on experience, location, and market factors.
