A Commercial CSR / Account Manager is a dual-role position responsible for managing and servicing an established book of coverage like Commercial Lines (business coverage like general liability and property) insurance accounts.
This role focuses on client retention, policy maintenance, and acting as the primary point of contact for clients, carriers, and producers. Given the required experience, this is an mid-level servicing position .
Core Responsibilities
The daily duties combine customer service and account management tasks, focusing on client satisfaction and coverage accuracy.
Client Servicing and Relationship Management :
Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for clients regarding policy questions, coverage needs, and issue resolution.
- Process client requests for policy changes, endorsements, cancellations, and evidence of coverage (e.g., Certificates of Insurance, Auto ID cards).
- Guide clients through the claims process , acting as a liaison between the client and the insurance carrier.
- Maintain detailed and accurate electronic client files and documentation in the agency management system
- Policy Management and Renewals :
- Proactively manage the renewal process for assigned accounts, gathering updated information from clients and remarketing policies to carriers as needed.
Review policies for accuracy and completeness, ensuring they align with the client's needs and current risks.
Present renewal options and coverage recommendations to clients.Sales Support and Cross-Selling :Identify opportunities to cross-sell or account-round existing clients by offering l Commercial coverage.
Support Producers (Sales Agents) by preparing quotes, proposals, and application submissions.Carrier and Agency Operations :Communicate with underwriters and carrier representatives from companies like Travelers, Hartford, or Hanover to resolve coverage issues and negotiate terms.
Utilize an agency management system such as AMS360, Applied / EPIC, or TAM for all client transactions, documentation, and workflow tasks.Required Qualifications and Skills

Mandatory Requirements
Experience : 2 + years of experience in an insurance agency or brokerage setting, with exposure to both Personal and Commercial Lines.Licensing : Active Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance License .Agency Management System Proficiency : Proven working knowledge of at least one of the specified systems : AMS360, Applied / EPIC, or TAM .Carrier Knowledge : Familiarity with the products, forms, and service procedures of major carriers like Travelers, Hartford, or Hanover .Work Arrangement : Willingness to commute to the office 5 days / week (a fully in-office position).Key Skills
