Location
The role supports services in South Central Kansas. Training, meetings, and equipment are conducted at the IdeaTek office located at 111 Old Mill Lane Buhler, Kansas.

We are growing! We are seeking a Business Fiber Technician to support business operations in surrounding communities. If you are hardworking, have a passion for problem solving and delivering a high level of customer service, this opportunity may be for you!
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and manage fiber optic installations and repairs for business clients.
- Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues for business customers, ensuring minimal disruption to their operations.
- Install, configure, and repair VOIP services specifically for business clients.
- Independently handle complex installations and repairs in various business settings.
- Provide an exceptional on-site experience to business customers by being professional, patient, efficient, and knowledgeable regarding FTTP (Fiber to the Premises) service, gateways, and WiFi solutions tailored for businesses.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of aerial and underground fiber networks servicing commercial areas.
- Install and maintain fiber drops from the service terminal to business premises.

High School diploma or equivalent2+ years of relevant work experienceMust possess and maintain a valid driver's license (with no restrictions)Ability to work both underground and in aerial environments (i.e. climbing ladders and / or bucket truck)Ability to work outdoors in various conditionsAbility to lift up to 70 lbsAble to safely enter and operate a bucket truck that has a weight limit of 350 lbs.Ability to work a flexible schedule, potentially including Saturdays and / or Sundays, to meet business client needs.Preferences
Prior experience in the telecommunications industryAbility to work a flexible schedule (e.g., Tuesday-Saturday) to accommodate business installation and service windows.This role is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
This role is not eligible for relocation.
