The Senior Content Marketing Specialist will execute on a variety of content, digital and communication-related initiatives. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated storytelling abilities across a variety of mediums and an aptitude for communicating technical concepts into easy-to-understand ideas that engage readers in the B2B space. The candidate, with time, will organically develop a keen sense for what aligns with our core values and how we interact and communicate with our clients, the community and the market; they will know our brand voice like no other. This position supports firm growth through the development of thought leadership, including articles / blog posts, videos, social media content and strategic campaigns to help identify and pursue opportunities for our brand and industry verticals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Work with the firm’s subject matter experts to write and edit email copy, blog posts, newsletter articles, press releases and other thought leadership pieces (e.g., case studies, whitepapers).
- Work on content that supports employer branding initiatives.
- Manage the firm’s content calendar, working with industry associations on content distribution as needed.
- Post all content to web and social media channels and build / test / send newsletters and email campaigns in email platform.
- Write scripts for videos as needed and assist or execute in pre- and post-production of videos.
- Write on-brand social media copy while actively monitoring social media channels and engaging with our audience.
- Produce compelling visual content (images, videos, etc.) for social media platforms that is aligned with audience engagement strategies and current social media trends / best practices.
- Assist with the firm’s search engine optimization strategy through content creation.
- Assist with proposal writing as needed.
- Execute on PR opportunities for the firm and industry niches; work with PR firms as needed to support projects.
- Craft copy for marketing collateral, presentations, ads, and client-facing and brand awareness campaigns with an increasing degree of independence.
- Create a maintenance schedule for revising documents and collateral, such as annual bio updates, service and industry line marketing materials, firm history, online profiles, etc.
- Write bios for firm employees and management.
- Monitors and reports on content program performance, recommending and making improvements as needed.
- Work with the CMO and Senior Marketing Manager on executing other marketing projects as needed.
Requirements :
Undergraduate degree required, preferably in marketing, communications, journalism, English or related field. Master’s degree a plus.5-8 years of relevant experience; marketing experience in a professional / financial services firm a plusExceptional business writing skills with editing and proofreading abilitiesHigh degree of comfort and knowledge of AP styleGeneral understanding of Search Engine Optimization best practicesExperience with video content marketing required; video editing skills a plusSocial media experience requiredWordPress experience preferredEmail marketing experience preferredPublic relations experience a plusAdobe Creative Suite experience a plusCRM and marketing automation experience a plusCompetency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT) requiredSuperior project management and time management skills with a track record that demonstrates attention to detail and dependable follow-upExcellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to work well within a team and serve multiple stakeholders with varying needs at the same timePassionate about keeping up to date on the latest trends and best practices in marketing, regularly bringing fresh ideas to the tableAbility to work in a results-focused, deadline-driven environment while demonstrating flexibility and adaptabilityResourceful and creative approach to problem-solving and decision-makingDriven and proactive with strong work ethicBenefits :
